BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Robert Masson is an internationally renowned spinal micro-neurosurgeon, technology innovator, professional athlete, pilot, husband and father who has fully recovered from his own micro-surgical spinal surgery.
Robert has conducted over 13,000 successful spine procedures, trained several hundred surgeons and treated a variety of amateur, recreational and professional athletes representing players from the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA/LPGA tours, US Soccer, UFC, US Boxing, US Ski Team and more.
Robert has completely re-invented micro-surgical spinal surgery, significantly minimizing its risks to patients and drastically improving success rates, taking a typical procedure from 4-8 hours down to only 1-2 hours for major reconstruction surgeries.
On the innovation front Robert is developing a first of its kind virtual reality visualization tool to significantly improve spinal surgical intervention and improve success rates and overall health for patients suffering from spinal health disorders around the globe, currently working amongst a group of global leaders to redefine aggregate efficiency in multiple health care procedures at the intersection of biology and technology.
Dr. Robert Masson is truly defying the odds and overcoming what most consider impossible in exponential medicine and human performance.

LONGEVITY
Robert Masson is probably one of the few, if not the only living spinal micro-neurosurgeon that had to undergo his own micro-surgical spinal surgery and recover optimally as a professional athlete in the face of adversity. It is because of this that Robert fully has an understanding, empathy, and compassion for his patients at every step in the journey.
Robert realizes that it is remarkably normal for your body to have failure points from decade to decade as you grow older and there is a paradox, the more active you are the more likely you are to damage your body, on the other hand, the lass active you are the more likely your body will fail due to lack of regenerative capabilities, strengthening, prevention and wellness.
It’s the old adage, everything in moderation, but there is no question that in order to maintain an active lifestyle and a goal-oriented lifestyle decade to decade, you have to earn it and you have to sustain it. There is no question. It’s not so much about chronological age or ability, it’s about how you show up. Roberts mantra as a surgeon, professional athlete and individual who has had to recover from his own spinal surgery is “show up strong”. If you take care of yourself, you give yourself the best fighting chance to achieve your goals regardless of your ability, current condition or age and you will inevitably bounce back from your problems.
ATHLETE
Robert Masson has rapidly become one of the most influential and watched racers in American Motorsports, winning the IMSA Prototype Challenge At Daytona in 2018, only a few years after becoming a professional driver, something simply unheard of in professional racing.
Robert originally got into racing as an opportunity to compete in a sport that his son Kyle Masson was fascinated about. Kyle is currently one of the foremost rising stars in IMSA racing, having won the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2017.
Professional racing is a sport that has given them both the ability to evolve as a family, compete at the highest level possible and support each other together through the journey.
It was only after Robert started racing that he realized how many parallels there were to surgery through optimization, accuracy, and efficiency, using the principles of racing and human performance to educate and influence surgeons around the world.

Mission & Vision
Mission & Vision
Robert started his professional career as a micro surgical brain surgeon and was propelled towards changing his focus to micro surgical spine surgery when he realized there was a tremendous gap in the way brain surgery and spine surgery were being executed from a technical, performance…
INNOVATOR
As an internationally renowned spinal neurosurgeon, people come to Robert when they have lost the ability to live there lives the way they want to, which lead Robert and his team to create IMAS, the least invasive, most advanced surgical solution on the planet.
Having the ability to take CT and MRI data and merge them into a mixed reality world allows you to see patient pathology like never before. Working in a 3D space allows you to better understand what is happening in the spine relative to an individual patients neuro-network, providing the most optimal outcome for each patient. “Being able to hyper expand digital media will allow us to really look at our human failures internally and we as a society will be able to diagnose things smarter.
If we can improve solutions for surgeons, if we can move the industry forward, if ultimately we can enhance the lives of people, that is what matters and that is the goal of surgical innovation.” -Dr. Robert Masson. Robert is on the forefront of technology innovation in health care and is working with many national and international organizations to evolve health care exponentially to improve the lives of others around us.
